We have a friend here who adores penguins. Jeff's been collecting them ever since he got to see them up close and personal during a couple of stints in Antarctica.
The shelves of his apartment has penguins hiding amongst the books, wine glasses, photographs and CDs, so when I saw this little guy at the supermarket, he sort of jumped into my nanna cart.
As expected with most childrens' toys, he has a label that states that anyone under the age of three years old should best stick with teddies and teething rings.
It was the other side of the label that amused me.
Bullyland? That's not exactly the first name a company with English as their first language would think of when specialising in manufacturing playthings for kids....
It's a good thing, then, that Jeff's considerably older than three and realises that he's not in Australia any more.

My first hubby's nickname was penguin, nobody really knows why....
He is a real cutie and I agree with River. And I would go back to Antarctica in a heartbeat. I may have to put the smaller portion up on e-bay to get my fare though.
Do you know what I kind of wish? That you hadn't explained the bit about him visiting Antarctica. I like the idea of a completely illogical penguin devotion.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Hannah. He's a meteorologist like my Love Chunks and says that he just fell in love with them as they were so tame and curious.

RedNomadOz, we'll have to change the brand name - I was going suggest Percy Penguin but realised that having recently dissuaded Sapphire from calling our Peugeot 'Percy' due to it being a euphemism for a bloke's tackle, it's back to the drawing board....

That is a weird name for a company... Wonder what they were thinking when they named it? Cute penguin though! :p

I have no idea, Ropcorn - even if it's a German Swiss company, you'd have thought that they might have checked what 'bully' meant in some of the other major languages used in their country. :P
Vanessa, the only things that sweet little penguins could bully would be fish, perhaps? Even then, it's hard to imagine.
Hi Alderica - I think it's their ungainly waddling on land that magically changes to the most graceful flying when in the water.
