Love Chunks noticed it first.
"Kath, you seem to have a pretty definite theme emerging from what you wear."
"Oh, what is that?"
"Well, let's just say it's never a surprise when you take your latest purchase out of the bag to show me."
I pretended to take offence. "OK, so I'm not exactly out on the edge in terms of taking a risk, sartorially-speaking, but nobody seems to be laughing and pointing at me when I venture out onto the streets."
"Fine, fine, forget I said anything." He bent back to his iPad before changing his mind. "Actually, no. You like to accuse me of not noticing what you wear when, in fact, I notice this pattern more than you do."
After a rummage through the Anneboda wardrobe and Malm drawers, it's time to concede that he does have a point.
I really do need to embrace some green.

People of a certain stature shouldn't wear horizontal stripes. You clearly can.
I get ya on this one - but everything I own is black...
and I agree with Andrew - you wear stripes well.

A while back I only had two colours in my wardrobe - black and not-black. That made it easy for Pilchard to comment on new purchases ...
But where's the conflict in latching on to something if it looks that good??!!
I noticed it too before this blog.
I agree with Andrew. Stripes make me look like a Hump Dumpty but look good on you. I more of a polka dot person.
Green and white/brown/yellow stripes... hmmm... could look good!
Hahaha, too funny! I have too much black, white and earthy colours going on, I gotta throw in the odd bright piece.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
In truth, this post has simply reminded me how long it's been since I've bought new clothes at all. Darn my hatred of clothes shopping! I'm starting to look like a hobo..
I see nothing wrong with the stripes. At least they're in different colours and widths. I live in plain t-shirts, but at least they're not all black these days.
I could challenge you with the stripes, except mine are mostly short sleeved. I prefer blue, grey and pink but I even splashed out and bought green last time. You are lucky that lC even notices what you wear or if you have something new. Bill wouldn't notice either. So many bloggers have fun nick names for their husbands but I just can't think of one for mine. Any suggestions??
What is wrong with stripes if they suit you? It shows you have the figure for them unlike me, if I wear them they have to be vertical!
Like your last post I have some studying to do but keep putting it off!
I must go and do it!
Just be thankful you can carry it off - if I wear stripes I look like a contour map
Bonjour Kath,
Mrs PM is forever trying to get me to wear colours other than black and blue. She wants me to look like a rainbow (saying I have pale skin and pale hair and need some colour).
How cheeky!
:0)
Cheers
PM
Now you've mentioned it...
I tend to have a safe wardrobe, especially in the winter - black roll neck sweaters.
All that comes to mind is my mum's saying "if the cat fits wear it" I don't know what it means, but I'm sure it's appropriate somehow.
You're not going to believe this, but doing an overdue laundry session I found two other t-shirts that were striped!
Oh Kath, that is SO funny! Just let him know that you're working a nautical theme. Perhaps you're homesick ;) xx
I just saw this. Very funny!
We all have our pet themes. Mine is black cardigans I think -I forget I have so many of them
Those are really cute stripes. I agree with Andrew, you look good in that stripes.
